2025 NFL Draft - Night 1

2025 Draft Coverage

Bleacher Report’s 2025 Draft Coverage approach varied from previous years in a handful of ways. As Senior Motion Designer, I led alignment between Production, Programming, Studio, and Design teams as we explored a new package look, created new broadcast assets, navigated league partnerships, and created scalable solutions for all Draft streams throughout the year.

Draftboard Intro

In February 2024, design and programming created a branding direction that would encompass all Draft coverages throughout the year. The goal was to introduce a new design package to our audience that would also help inform creative decisions throughout the broadcast creation process by establishing, and testing, a strong system and point of view.

Draft Broadcasts

2025 NBA Draft Broadcast

The scope of the Draft Coverage was broad and the expectations were high. Design was deeply connected to all of B/R’s lofty goals, and it was extremely rewarding to have the opportunity to coordinate and mobilize the actions to achieve them. With the look and feel already established through the heralding Draft Streams, I saw opportunities to improve and build additional storytelling assets for the broadcast package. Once those ideas had been pitched and approved by the appropriate stakeholders, I made sure to keep all teams aligned through clear communication and providing unwavering direction leading in to Draft Night. Producers, Social Programers and Creators, Studio Operators, Client and League Partnerships were all important voices that needed to be accommodated and had their own goals that needed to be met.
